- CrossFit Level 2 Trainer
For thirty years I struggled with alcohol and drugs but am proud and thankful to be sober today (for over two years). My prayers were answered when I got a call from a friend offering help. Sometimes all it takes is one person to step out and offer a hand. My life has continued to improve and my spirit to brighten with each new day. I work for a non-profit called The Phoenix, which offers a free caring community to those who have suffered from substance use disorder and to those who choose a sober life. In my work there, we teach others how an active and healthy lifestyle can improve the quality of sobriety. It rebuilds lives! I am an instructor in the Boston Chapter, where I teach CrossFit, kickboxing, Tai Chi, and rock climbing. I have also been teaching CrossFit at CFTC where I hope to influence all people in a positive way thru fitness. It is a blessing to use my knowledge and experience to give back. It is now my turn to be the one to offer a hand.
