I was introduced to CrossFit in 2009 and trained at CrossFit New England. I played many sports growing up and always loved competition. I always felt I was in good shape because of my athletic background but CrossFit quickly showed that I was a specialist in my sport and not very fit overall. It exposed my weaknesses. It was amazing to me how quickly my body changed…. how much my fitness improved in such a short time. Interestingly, the more fit I became the more aware I became of my nutrition, and rest, and how I took care of my body. I fell in love with the CrossFit community, the support, the accountability, the lifting-up of others. That’s when I opened CFTC (CrossFit Tri-County in 2012). I enjoy the CrossFit lifestyle and want to share that with anyone and everyone that wants to be their healthiest and fittest self.
